Examples of Newtons Law
Introduction to Examples of Newton's Law
Travelling in a train
Rekha with her parent was going to Lucknow by a train. She observes that when train starts moving suddenly passengers fall in backward direction and when train stops suddenly the passengers fall in forward direction. She was very happy to see this but she wanted to know the reason for this.
Newton’s First Law of Motion
Newton’s first law is law of inertia and states that a body at rest or in motion will continue to be at rest or in motion until an external unbalanced force acts on it. When an external force acts on the body the inertia of the object opposes the change in its state of rest or that of motion. This is why passengers fall backward or forward due to sudden change in state. I like to share this newton's law of cooling equation with you all through my article.
Examples of Newtons Law : Getting Down from the Boat
Mayank went to a lake with his parents. There they enjoyed boating. While getting down from the boat, Mayank had a different experience. The moment he left the boat, boat also moved back in opposite direction. Mayank was surprised to see that though he moved in forward direction the boat move in backward direction. When he described it to his teacher, she explained that this is all due to the Newton’s Third Law of Motion. Let us try to understand this law.
Newton’s Third Law of Motion
According to Newton’s third law, for every action force, there is always an equal and opposite reaction force. This leads to the conclusion that forces always exist in pair. Please note that action and reaction forces always act on different bodies. For example when you push a wall, the force applied by you on the wall is action force and an equal and opposite force is being applied by the wall is the reaction force. So, action force is applied on the wall and the reaction force is applied on you. Having problem with 2nd Law of Thermodynamics Evolution keep reading my upcoming posts, i will try to help you.
Daily Life Examples of Newton’s Third Law
In our day-to-day life, third law is very helpful. We are able to walk on the floor or on the ground just because of the third law. We with our toes push the ground backward, the action force and the ground pushes us forward with an equal force, the reaction force. Similarly while swimming, we are able to swim because of third law. The rockets are launched on the basis of the third law. Hence, Newton’s third law is very important in understand our daily life example.
